We had a 7 night stay at Carlton-Europe as part of a 2 week European vacation. The location is perfect, literally 5 minutes from Interlaken Ost, which is the main station from where the transport leaves to go on the various mountain excursions. The weather during the week was capricious, with sudden rain so we appreciated the short dash to the hotel. The hotel is quirky, every room is decorated and furnished in a different style. We hadn’t paid for the premium rooms but still the rooms were pretty spacious, managing to fit a cupboard, chest of drawers and desk as well as the double bed and bedside tables. The bathroom was small but very clean and had everything I needed. Shower (no bath), heated towel rail and very powerful hairdryer which was a win!! Thank goodness it had “proper” hangers instead of the hideous anti-theft hangers which don’t come off the cupboard bar. The beds were very very comfy with big fluffy pillows, perfect for the weary bones that had hiked mountain trails. We stayed in four 4-star hotels in 2 weeks on this trip, and hands down these were the best beds we slept in. Just heaven. The views from our rooms were lovely, mountain views to wake up to every morning. There was a slight issue with one of the rooms but it was sorted out very quickly by Florian. the staff were really great. As mentioned, Florián sorted an issue very quickly and he and all the staff we interacted with were friendly, efficient and happy to help. Before my arrival Geri and Frederic were prompt and efficient at answering my emails for information. The staff at breakfast never stopped, they were all over the dining room, delivering guest requests, clearing tables, resetting them, and replenishing the buffet. Unfortunately I didn’t get everyone’s names but Elisabeth, Petra and Niko were very nice.

This hotel is the most comfortable one for us during our three-month trip in Europe. 1. All the hotel staff are very professional, and it is a team with very high professionalism. In particular, the front desk staff communicated with us very attentive and warm. 2. The location is very good, very close to the train station to Jungfrau, the mountain cable car, the paragliding landing lawn, and the tourist district. 3. You can overlook the snow-capped mountains from the window, and there is a beautiful river view in front of the hotel. The hotel is full of old-fashioned Swiss furniture and utensils, which is very helpful for understanding Swiss humanities and history. The scenery is very beautiful. 4. The free buffet breakfast is very rich. It is so enjoyable to enjoy the delicious food while admiring the beautiful scenery of the snow-capped mountains on the balcony of the restaurant. 5. Snacks, clean dog beds, two clean towels and poop bags were specially provided for our puppy, which is very warm. It is also the only hotel that charges a certain fee but provides very thoughtful service. 6. The toiletries provided by the hotel are of very good quality, which is also one of the characteristics. Highly recommended.

The room wasn't big, but it was big enough for us. We also liked the vintage style decor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the guys spent over 30 minutes with us recommending us great places to visit based on our preferences. Thanks to him, we ended up hiking in Schynige Platte, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Unfortunately we have forgotten the guy's name, but thank you very much! The location is great, close to the train station and several restaurants. There's also a really good hamburger restaurant in the same building but don't forget to book a table - it's very busy in the evenings. The breakfast buffet was large with lots of delicious options. We also have to mention the fact that this is really an adults-only hotel, so you don't have to listen to screaming children. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Overall we had a great stay here.

What a gem of a hotel. Adults only is a great start! The staff on arrival friendly and funny - sorry I didn't get names. My wife and I were on our retirement trip of a lifetime, taking the Bernina Express from Italy to Interlaken where we were to spend 2 nights. Imagine our delight when we discovered we had been upgraded to a suite! Having worked in hotels most of our working lives, we were the ones being upgraded! What a treat! The decor is interesting - a treasure trove of vintage and antiques throughout the lobby and common areas. The breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely breakfast area. My gratitude to all the lovely staff for making our stay so memorable!

The staff was very helpful and accommodating with every aspect of our stay. They went out of their way in assisting us to do our laundry. They helped us with useful suggestions what to do in the area and with transportation hints. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection in a very comfortable place with a patio that has a beautiful view
